“Horoscopes are not real astrology, and are not made by real astrologists,” Xandra tells me, adding, somewhat dryly, “as opposed to the other stuff, which is real.” Last Thanksgiving, her family went to a resort where one of the amenities offered was a birth chart reading—not wanting a manicure, Xandra opted to learn about her future.
